Coté's Next Visit to the USA
5 months later... July 19, 2004 Coté and Andrés loaded up Artie's car for the trip to the airport. This time she isn't traveling alone. She and Andres are spending 11 days in the USA, visiting Jill and her family.
Artie and Margy allowed plenty of time to get everyone to the airport early.

		After a last minute change in packing, the travelers waited in line with Coté's dad, Gustavo.

Coté and Andrés had the agent change their seats so that they would be next to one another for all of their flights. Afterwards we all went to the shops in the domestic side of the Santiago airport for some last minute purchases and for a quick lunch at Dunkin Donuts. It seemed appropriate.
Ema and Guillermo arrived at the airport in time to see their friends off.
And so off went Coté and Andrés on their semester break to vacation together.

They even managed to get pictures of themselves with their plane and also while they waited for their flight from Buenos Aires to JFK. Coté, who was still recovering from a badly sprained ankle was happy to have Andrés massage it. This was only her first day not wearing the inflatible ankle brace that she wore after the plaster cast was removed. Ankle problem or not, this was not about to stop them from enjoying their trip to the fullest.
Brian sure looks happy to have his beloved Coté back with him in New Jersey!

Kevin and Ray (Brian's dad and grandfather) enjoyed playing with a gift from the travelers.

Later, Andrés and Kevin played a driving game together. On Coté's previous visit with Jill, Kevin and Brian, Coté and Kevin spent hours playing this game.

On to seeing the sights of New York City... Coté had been looking forward to sharing her experiences in the city with Andrés.

Their first stop was the Statue of Liberty in the New York Harbor. Several years earlier Coté had climbed up to the crown with her mother, Artie and Margy, but this is no longer possible.

It is so amazing to find scenes like this in the middle of a great city. This is New York's famous Central Park.

		The young people rented a boat to enjoy this summer day in July even more. They also visited Chinatown, Little Italy, Times Square (both during the day and at night), the Empire State Building, Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and Saint Patrick's Cathedral. July 23, 2004
